Project Coordinator Intern

Sit between UML clients and delivery teams — web developers, automation engineers, and designers — and make sure no project milestone slips, no status update goes unwritten, and no meeting runs without an agenda.

Apply now

UML runs web development, digital marketing, and automation projects in parallel for Indian SMB clients. As Project Coordinator Intern you are the connective tissue: you own the Notion docs, the ClickUp sprint trackers, the weekly client status updates, the kickoff agendas, and the internal Slack threads that keep dev, design, and ops moving in the same direction. When a milestone is at risk, you flag it before it slips — not after.

What you'll do

  • Maintain project trackers in ClickUp — sprint tasks, owners, deadlines, blockers — updated daily, not at end of week when it is too late to fix anything.
  • Write weekly client status updates in Notion: what shipped this week, what is up next, any decisions needed from the client. Clear, direct, no corporate filler.
  • Schedule and run kickoffs, weekly check-ins, mid-sprint demos, and retrospectives on Google Calendar + Meet — agenda sent 24 hours before, notes posted in Notion within 2 hours after.
  • Send async Loom updates to clients when a written status update is not enough — short screen recordings of staging URLs, design previews, or automation demo flows.
  • Manage internal Slack hygiene across project channels: decisions pinned, deadlines in the channel topic, no critical information buried in a thread from three weeks ago.
  • Coordinate handoff from delivery teams to the client at go-live — checklist, credentials, recorded walkthrough, and the first 30 days support escalation path.

What we look for

  • Obsessively organised — you have a system for tracking what you owe people and you do not need to be reminded twice.
  • Written English fluent enough to write a client status update that a founder will actually read — not a templated paragraph that says "project is progressing well".
  • Follows up without being asked: if a designer has not delivered the Figma by Thursday, you ping Wednesday morning, not Friday afternoon.
  • Comfortable scheduling across timezones — some UML clients are in the US, UK, and Singapore alongside India; the Google Calendar invite needs to land at a workable hour for everyone.
  • Basic project management literacy: sprints, milestones, staging environments, launch checklists — you do not need to write the code but you need to know what the words mean.
  • Nice-to-have: any prior internship at an agency, SaaS company, or startup where you had to track deliverables across multiple people.
  • Nice-to-have: prior exposure to Asana, Jira, Linear, or ClickUp at any scale — even a college project.

Why this role at UML

You will see every type of project UML runs — custom Next.js builds, Shopify stores, AI automation pipelines, Meta + Google ad campaigns — and understand how each one is scoped, tracked, and delivered. That cross-functional view is rare at six months into a career. Coordinators who perform here move into project management, client success, or delivery lead roles with a full picture of how a digital agency actually operates.

The project does not fail at the deadline. It fails three weeks earlier when nobody said anything. Your job is to be the one who says something.

Compensation + perks

  • Monthly stipend + performance bonus tied to on-time milestone delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Direct access to delivery leads and founders — you will sit in on decisions that most coordinators take years to get near.
  • Remote-first; optional co-working from Gurugram / Kanpur / Bengaluru.
  • Promote-or-out at 6 months — full-time Project Manager or Client Success role, or an honest exit conversation.
  • Tooling provided: ClickUp, Notion, Loom, Slack, Google Workspace — no personal cost.
